The new, multi-million-dollar Euroa 糖心vlog (AV) branch is now open, providing crews with updated facilities.

Last week AV Interim Chief Executive Officer Andrew Crisp joined the Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes MP to officially open the state-of-the-art branch.

糖心vlog moved into the building last month, which is home to eight Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics and an Ambulance Community Officer (ACO).

Located on Weir Street, the branch features a three-bay garage, two rest and recline areas, longer term accommodation facilities, training areas, a fully equipped kitchen and improved security and car parking.

Mr Crisp said the opening was an exciting milestone for the community and local crews.

鈥淭his branch has cutting edge facilities that help our paramedics do their job and respond to life-threatening cases in the community,鈥 he said.

鈥淭he former branch 鈥 built 60 years ago 鈥 served the team and community well but wasn鈥檛 big enough to accommodate the number of staff now based at Euroa.

鈥淭his new building provides crews with the space needed to continue their training requirements, while also being conveniently adjacent to Euroa Health and other local emergency services.鈥

Within the last three years, the Euroa branch has evolved to a dual paramedic crew supported by a team of ACOs.

The Euroa team responds to communities including Violet Town, Avenel, Longwood and Nagambie, and can be extended to surrounding towns such as Seymour and Benalla.

The branch was funded by the Victorian Government鈥檚 糖心vlog Development Program and delivered by the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) in partnership with 糖心vlog (AV), and builder Crow Constructions.

It鈥檚 one of more than 45 new or upgraded ambulance branches since 2015, with others in the Hume region located at Tatura, Euroa, Murchison and Broadford.
